Build your own team of 14 players and 1 goalie the cost is reduced to $250 per player.
League will run from Sunday May 6, 2012 thru Sunday August 5, 2012.
Each team will play 13 games.
Each team will play one game per week. There are no practices.
Cost is $243.50 plus HST = $275 per player. If you have more than 1 child, your cost will be reduced by $25 per player. Payment includes 13 games and jersey which is yours to keep.
Payment by cash or cheque payable to NHSL.
Registration will be handled online on our site - www.nhsl.ca.
Players will be contacted by May 1st with their team allocation and 1st game time. The schedule will be available on our website by May 1st.
Games will be played in St. Catharines and Niagara Falls, Ontario.
All games will be played between 4-10 pm on Sunday nights.
All games will consist of a 3 minute warm up and two 21 minute running time periods. The last two minutes of the second period will be stop time unless the running time ruling is in effect.
Each team will consist of 15 players (9 forwards, 5 defensemen and 1 goaltender).
Registration is open to individual and team entries. The NHSL does have the right to adjust rosters to make the league as fair and competitive as possible.
Travel players will play in the travel league, house league players will play in the house league.
The leagues will be co-ed, and there is NO contact in the NHSL.
All CHA rules are in effect unless otherwise stated.
The NHSL conveners have the final say on all rules and regulations.
Only registered players on team rosters may play in the NHSL.
Each team must have a minimum of 9 players and a goalie to start a game.
Each team will play with 5 players and a goalie on the ice.
No replacement players are allowed. Teams that use illegal players will automatically forfeit the points and the coach will face suspension.
AP players must be registered and approved by the NHSL. A $25 per game fee and signed insurance waiver must accompany the league approval permit.
Major penalties result in expulsion from that game.
GM ejections from a game results in a 1 game suspension.
Second GM ejection from a game results in disciplinary action from the NHSL.
Fighting majors will result in expulsion from the league.
All games will be officiated by 1 referee. Penalty shots will be awarded for minor penalties and will take place at the end of the game. Coincidental penalties will not result in penalty shots.
Any player receiving 3 minor penalties in the same game is ejected from that game.
There are no icing calls.
If a team has a 3 goal lead or more at the end of the 2nd period, the last two minutes will not be stop time.
